Our Academy(u7) to U11 Boys & Girls again participated in the much anticipated Annual Gormanston Indoor tournament over 5 weeks from January 14th 2024. With a packed programme and games running from 9:30am -7:30pm the organisers did an amazing job ensuring young players from across 27 clubs were able to enjoy some pre-season hurling & camogie, build on their skills and most importantly have fun along the way
Our teams, mentors and parents gave their all in terms of commitment over the 5 Sundays and our U11 boys team were proud to accept the "Club of the tournament" award on behalf of all Harps team on Sunday evening last. Maith Thú to all who contributed.
In addition to the overall award our U10 boys team won the U10 team of the tournament award for their team spirit, effort and hard work! Fantastic achievement
Many thanks to the Tournament Organisers , especially Niall & Maria for the huge amount of behind the scenes work that goes into preparation and the running of weekly fixtures.
Thanks also to our GPO Katelyn for the time she gave every Sunday to encourage our Juvenile players, particularly the U7/Academy teams and to each and very mentor who gave so generously of their time. Without our volunteer mentors, we could not provide the platform for our players to have fun, build team spirit, grow and develop their skills. so THANK YOU
