Our U15 Ladies Football squad entered 2 panels into Div 3 & Div 10 of the Dublin LGFA Féile competition for 2024 , which took place in near perfect conditions last Sat 20th April.
The week got off to an exciting start for the girls when presented with their Féile kits, for which the team and their parents/mentors had fundraised for during 2023.. Training continued during the week as the anticipation levels were at an all time high for this talented & committed squad
The squad met up early on Sat morning at the clubhouse for team photos before making the trips to host clubs Raheny (Div3) & Clanna Gael Fontenoy (Div10)
With the sun shining it was fair to say the girls had an amazing day of football and friendships @ their Féile outings. The group stages were tough and the teams battled hard , with great success - both made it to their respective semi finals and despite their unbelievable efforts didn’t make it through to finals day on 21/4.
Both teams gave it their absolute all, played to the ethos of LGFA and Féile and made their mentors, parents & the club extremely proud while doing so. Definitely the winners in our eyes! Their tears at the disappointment of missing out on the finals show their passion for the game and their hugs to each other show their care for their teammates .
Huge thanks to all who helped us in the lead up to this important and anticipated Juvenile event. Thank you also to incredible hosts Clanna Gael and Raheny.
Most importantly thank you to our wonderful players and those who came out on a sunny day to support @ both venues.
