Adult Teams Update

Great coverage for our senior football team this week in national media, link here to a great read ahead of the match against Thomas Davis.

Adult Hurling update

This year is a historic year for Skerries harps, in that we fielded 2 adult hurling teams for the 1st time in our history. The 2nd team finished their year today, with a gutsy 0-9 to 2-15 loss, playing with 14, against a St Vincent's 15. Half time was 1-8 to 0-4 for St Vincent's, with skerries playing against the wind. What a super year for the club's 2nd hurling team, making the final of their league group. Huge effort was put in by all throughout the year to field 2 teams. Well done lads. The first team drew their A championship against St peregrines(2 divisions above skerries in the league) and are now in the quarter-finals of the A championship. This is the 1st year that skerries have had a junior A team.

A big thanks to Paddy and the crew in 33 & Bus Bar for the sponsorship of the Seniors training gear.

Juvenile Update

U16A camogie team who came out on top in a physical hard away championship match against St Anne's Bohernabreena Skerries. Harps 3-07 St Anne's 2-06

Congratulations to Jane Maguire on making her International debut yesterday. Jane plays both camogie and football, but is obviously excelling in cricket and we are all so proud of all her achievements.

Club Facilities Development The construction of our new skills wall has commenced. Keep an eye out for progress and we will share photos of the progress. On other development-related matters, our development committee has had a lot of meetings regarding pitch development at Milverton and resources generally with Fingal Co. Co. We are constantly hitting walls and we are meeting with local politicians next week as we need their full support and the support of our membership to push as hard as we can. Again watch this space for updates.

Zingo result for Sunday 3rd October: 7452613. We had no winners of the jackpot or dividend this week. Next week jackpot a cool €1300. Thanks, Jackie Kelly and Anthony Weldon for helping out this week.

Club shop open now Saturday morning as well.

Thanks to Eimear Wilde as always for her great support in running our club shop,
