Fixtures, Results & Training
Another busy weekend for our teams across both Adult & Juvenile, with our Adult Hurlers & Senior Camogie Teams, along with Minor Footballers all fulfilling fixtures both home & away
The MFL6 team started the weekends action with a home fixture vs Raheny played under the lights on Friday night - with both teams evenly matched at the final whistle, and a draw recorded on the scoreboard.
On Sunday both Adult Hurling teams started their League Campaigns with mixed results. In a historic day for the Harps the club fielded for the first time in AHL4 (Intermediate) travelling to Kilmacud Crokes. In what was a tough battle against an experienced Crokes side, our lads gave it their all to the final whistle, demonstrating pride in the jersey... the final score line of 3-9 to 2-17 saw Crokes come out on top but the positives of fielding a young team mixed with experience who never lay down will no doubt bear fruit as the season continues.
Well done to the lads, mentors/coaches & thanks to those who travelled out to support.
AHL9 team took on Sylvester's in a home fixture on the main pitch in the afternoon, and again youth and experience combined, this time to record a strong win, and start to the league.
Earlier in the day the Senior 2 Camogie team, won out against St Peregrines in the league on the Main pitch, and the MFL2 team also recorded a second draw for our Minor Footballers vs Fingallians.
Not to be outdone, the Juvenile Section had a hectic weekend of fixtures from U8 - U 16
Full details of all results can be seen on www.skerriesharps.com/fixtures-results.
Thanks to all the team mentors who shared the below shots of some of our young players in action over the weekend

2 Great wins from the U14 Camogie teams at home today - all delighted to be back competing! and what a day to play in Skerries! Well done girls and mentors
The U15 Feile Footballers made the long trip out across the M50 to Geraldine P Morans for their Round 2 Group Fixture and by all reports they played superbly as a team and recorded a win, making it 2 from 2 in the competition - The lads and mentors all looking fantastic in their new feile Kit - thanks to all who helped with the fundraising and to the sponsors
