Weekly Club Notes - 19/02/2023


Fixtures, Results & Training


This weekend saw the return of AFL fixtures and our Senior, Intermediate & Junior Men's Football teams back in action on Sunday 19th Feb.

The AFL1 Senior Footballers recorded a win against Clontarf, away, with a score line of

2-9 to 0-13.

Unfortunately, both our Intermediate & Junior Footballers were defeated, also by Clontarf, in their respective matches

AFL 4 Intermediate Result - Harps 0-8 Clontarf 1-6

AFL 8 Junior Result Harps 0-6 Clontarf 0-8

Minor Hurling Result: MHL3 - Harps 5-6 St Brigids 3-13


Our Juvenile's were also out in force over the weekend, with Go games (CCC1) & CCC2 fixtures all taking place. Well done to all our young players on their performances & efforts over the weekend.

Weekly Games Meetings


Adult & Juvenile Games meetings return every Thursday Night in the Clubhouse.

Juvenile Meeting - 8:30am

Adult Meeting - 9:00pm

All teams are expected to be represented at these forums, where the respective committees share relevant information on a weekly basis.



2023 Membership


2023 Membership is now due - see details below for renewal options, and options for new members. As we return to the pitch across all 4 codes, players must ensure their 2023 membership is in place

County & Colleges Representatives



Congratulations to Eoghan O'Connor Flanagan (Capt) and Ethan Dunne, proud winners with DCU DE of the Freshers A Football Championship...A strong 2nd half performance saw DCU come from behind to defeat Maynooth by 6pts.




























Alix Buckley travelled to Cork with the Dublin Senior Camogie Panel & Eoin Wilde, Ethan Dunne & Eoghan O'Connor Flanagan lined out on Sat with the Dublin U20s in the John Kerins Cup vs Kerry.




Cillian Emmett travelled to MTU Cork with the Dublin Minors on Sun 19th

Great to have some Harps support for the game!



















Our U14 Camogie Players, Ziggy O'Connor, Olive Gormley & Caoimhe Emmett took part in the U14 Camogie Interhub Blitz in Marlay Park - an early start for the girls but well worth it for a great experience




The Dublin Senior Footballers had a good win in a tough game against Cork in the Allianz League Rd 3 game - well done to Greg McEneaney who was named at #22

Smith & the Westmeath Senior footballers on their win today against Offaly in the Allianz League!

Juvenile Round up!


Our two U12 boys football teams kicked off their season with their first grading matches last Saturday 11 Feb. The Blue team hosting St. Brigids in the Ballast Pit & the White team travelling to Templeogue. Check out some great action shots below & see our social media for more!





Huge thanks to Clodagh Bolger U14/15 lead Camogie coach who took the U12/U14 & U15 girls out for goal specific training this weekend! So much knowledge and skill being passed on to the girls. Much appreciated…..






Our U14 & U15 Camogie girls also enjoyed a midweek lunchtime session ahead of their upcoming season start - Great to get the 2 teams out together today for their first ‘on grass’ training game. Important to get this practice in for their upcoming seasons!

Thank you also to the mentors who gave up their lunch break to be there🙌






Our U13 Boys competed in their Grading league games over the last 2 weekends & put in great team performances!



The executive and members of Skerries Harps GAA & Camogie club were deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of James (Seamus) Lynch RIP, father of our former PRO and valued Club member Fergal Lynch. We extend our sincerest sympathy to Fergal, his mother Kathleen on the loss of her beloved husband and to Fergal's brothers, sisters & the extended Lynch family at this most difficult of times
