It is with great sadness that we that we learn of the death of Ronnie Fay, a great friend of the club and a driving force for change in the community.
Ronnie worked with many camogie and hurling teams over the past 25 years as coach and mentor. Her daughter Veronica, and sons Jonathan and Paddy played at all levels from underage to adult. With her 3 sisters she was instrumental in the development of Camogie in the club.
We express our deepest sympathies to Ronnie’s husband Philip, her children Jonathan, Veronica and Patrick, their family and friends.
As part of a much wider community she will also be hugely missed but leaves behind a great legacy as Co-Director and founding member of Pavee Point. She was its driving force for almost 40 years working tirelessly to improve living circumstances, status and participation of the Traveller and Roma community. She continuously fought for social justice, greater solidarity, development, equality and human rights. Our deepest sympathies to all her colleagues and friends.
Her contributions were of such immense significance. She will be very sadly missed.
