Adult team news

Div 2 Ladies Cup v ODwyers

After last week's performance we were really looking forward to keeping the positive momentum going forward.

With a few injuries and girls missing due to illness we still had a team strong enough to get a positive result.

Unfortunately it didn't go the way we hoped it would.

After a very impressive start we were

1-3 v 0-1 up and looking like we were going to dominate the 1st half.

A very unfortunate goal for O'Dwyers gave them a great lift and seemed to zap the energy from our girls.

We couldn't regain any momentum and ending up losing 3-8 to 1-7.

On a very positive note we had 2 minor girls making their Senior debuts with Hannah Mc Guiness putting in a great performance from the start and Grace Elshamy not looking out of place when she came on in the 2nd half.

With this type of talent coming through the future should be a good one for Ladies Football in the club.

Juvenile Team News

U13 girls were presented with a fantastic gift of training/match gear from a very generous sponsor. We had the girl and parents down at Harps for a great evening, with a guest speaker Roisìn Murphy to talk to the girls about the importance of sports.

Followed by pizza and more craic.

A great evening was had by all.
