Club Notes June 15th

Planning & Development Update

An update in relation to Planning & Development from the Club Executive.

On December 16th 2019 Fingal County Council granted Skerries Harps planning permission to develop an All Weather training pitch & skills wall on our existing training area subject to a number of conditions.

This decision was subsequently appealed to An Bord Pleanála & last week we were notified that the "Grant Permission" decision by Fingal County Council was upheld subject to a number of conditions.

Thanks to our Planning & Development group & Mark G. Kelly Architects for their work getting this project through the planning process.

As we look to improve our playing facilities this is a positive outcome however there is a lot more work required in relation to funding before we can break ground on this project.

Safe Return to Gaelic Games Our Club Executive have reviewed the detailed plan issued by the GAA, Camogie Association & the LGFA just over a week ago.  They are now working on putting the necessary measures in place to so that when the green light to resume is given we can do so in a safe manner while adhering to both Government guidelines & meeting  the requirements set out in this plan. We would encourage our members, in particular players & parent's of our Juvenile players, to read this plan to get familiarised with the requirements. By doing so it will make the transition back easier for everyone concerned.  You can access the plan by clicking on Safe Return to Gaelic Games The 3 associations are holding a Club Briefing webinar on Tuesday 16th June from 6 - 7pm which will be attended by   our Covid Supervisors as well as Club Officers. This webinar is open to all & if interested you can register here The Covid-19 Club Education online module is expected to be available from Thursday 18th June & will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Details on accessing the module will be shared later this week.  All      stakeholders (players/team personnel/covid supervisors & parents/guardians will be required to complete this module. Finally a reminder that our facilities remain closed during Phase 2 & that no club organised training will take place until June 29th subject to Phase 3 proceeding as planned. Zingo Result 14-June Zingo draw took place on Sunday evening, the numbers drawn were 6-1-3-4-5-7-2 & there were no winners of the Jackpot or Dividend.  Next week's Jackpot €1,700 Dividend €450.  As envelope sales remain suspended we would encourage regular weekly players to sign up online through the following link Zingo Online Sign up This is currently our only source of fundraising & any support you can give would be greatly appreciated Dublin GAA's Coaching & Game Development There are still four webinars left in the Dublin GAA Coaching & Games Development six week series, presenters include our own Bryan Cullen (8th July) & GPO Louise Byrne (24th June). Any coaches or parents who are interested can find more details & registration info by clicking here Supporting our local businesses A number of local businesses are opening again as part of the phase 2 lifting of restrictions & we would ask our members to shop local where possible. These businesses have supported our club over the years by sponsoring teams, pitch advertising, event advertising or by simply providing a raffle prize.....now is our opportunity to support them over the coming weeks & months!
