Adult Update
Our Minor A Footballers were unfortunately defeated in the Championship Semi Final last Sunday 31st by Kilmacud Crokes. A great achievement nonetheless to make it so far in the top flight of Dublin Minor Football. The future is certainly bright and we wish all those 2nd year minors moving into Adult Football in 2022 the very best of luck in 2022. Thanks also to Paul, Gordon, Gerry Ken, Mark and indeed all the mentors who assisted with this group over the years from U8 to Minor who have so generously given of their time.
Juvenile Update
U16B camogie Shield Final
Skerries Harps 1-02 Thomas Davis 1-05
The U16b camogie team travelled to Thomas Davis in Tallaght on a wet and windy Halloween to play in the division 5 camogie shield final. The girls were all well up for the match and set out to play in their usual gutsy and determined fashion. This team is the only “b” team in this division, but true to form they left everything out there. The girls had previously met Thomas Davis in the round robin section of the championship competition and had lost by a margin 3 -04 to them (2-03-5-07), but in true fashion the girls did not let this influence them. Having come from behind, the match was all level at 1-02 – 0-5 until the final quarter, when Thomas Davis got a lucky goal. They kept going right to the end and were very unlucky not to get an equaliser. To see the standard of camogie that both teams brought was a joy to watch, it was a tough physical battle which. This was a tremendous team performance from this great bunch of girls which is a mixed age team with u14, u15 and u16 girls all playing. You did yourselves and the club proud!! Well done to each and everyone of you!!
Back row: Chelsi McMahon-Holland, Evelyn Appara, Tilly Frazier, Leia Clooney, Saoirse Dillon, Caela Duncan, Lucy Waddilove, Olwen Treacy, Saoirse Manners, Kim Rice, Lauren Birney, Roisin Donohue
