Harps bring their A game
Great write-up in the Fingal Indo credit to Rory Kerr. Kerr writes ‘SKERRIES Harps are through to the Under-21 A Championship decider after a 0-9 to 0-5 win over Ballyboden St Endas in Skerries on Saturday. Having been 2-12 to 0-7 winners away to St Sylvester’s on Tuesday night, with Ciaran Murphy and Adam El Shamy grabbing the goals, Skerries restricted Ballyboden to just a point from play in the first half, the Rathfarnham men leading 0-5 to 0-2 at that stage.
But playing with the breeze after the restart an Ethan Dunne's point followed by a massive free from inside his own half from Rob Delaney reduced the arrears to just a point.
Skerries were then to have a ‘square ball’ goal from Donal Cotter canceled out before the impressive Cillian McGinnis brought the sides level with 12 minutes to go.
Quick points from Murphy and Chatten then put Harps in the driving seat, with Murphy and McGinnis closing the game out for the home side.’

U16A Football Shield Result
Erin’s Isle 1-12 Skerries Harps 5-09
The final blow of the referee’s whistle was met with jubilant scenes at Beneavin College, Finglas on Saturday last as Skerries Harps captured the U16A Football Shield.

U12 Boys The Under 12 boys (2009) team finished up their season last Saturday with football matches at home to Round Towers Clondalkin. This was our first year moving away from three teams for Go Games into having two teams playing in different leagues and different locations each week. The boys had a brilliant season winning their leagues in both football and hurling. The commitment from the boys and their parents during the year has been exceptional, particularly in relation to attendance at matches, which is so important. On Saturday we are bringing the boys to Flynn Park for a fun day. Thanks to all boys and their parents for their commitment this year. Thanks as well to everybody who has helped out in any way with the team during the year including our Covid Officers, Kevina Cardiff and Audrey Norris (and Paddy Fitzgerald). We are already looking forward to next season and what under 13 will bring this group!
