Juvenile Team News

Well done to the u17 boys who got off to a winning start away to Whitehall Colmcille in the B Football championship with a win 2-10 to 2-6. Well done lads.

A tough contest on September 25th for our minor camogie team in the championship away to St Anne's but in a gritty performance the girls came out on top final score Skerries Harps 7-09 St Annes 6-10.

The U10 Girls played 4 amazing Camoige matches against Clontarf on Saturday. High level of skills on show, great team play and lots of energy. Great work from all the players on a sunny October morning.

U13 Camogie went out and fought hard today.

Division 7 went to St Vincent’s GAA. A minute silence was held for the legend that was Brian Mullins. We send our heartfelt condolences to all his family and Club members/friends. May he rest in peace.

Division 3 welcomed St Jude’s GAA to Skerries. Another lovely team of young players and mentors.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be our day but the girls did us proud (as always). Go Harps.

Robyn Buckley kindly and professionally took over training of the under 9 girls team on Thursday night. They did a full camogie session polishing up on their skills with drill games and then a match. The coach and the mentors were very proud of the attentiveness and dedication shown by the girls at the session. This also shows Robyn’s ability and skill to be able to lead a session of 28 girls from start to finish. We’re very grateful and thankful to Robyn for her help.

Our U9 boys playing in Townparks..

Fantastic performances by all the U16 boys Team today, in their Championship match v Raheny on the Main Pitch.

In what was a very competitive and close fixture, with Skerries Harps coming out on top with a score line of 2:11 to 2:9. Huge thanks goes out to all the U15 players who supported the team in their efforts.

Dublin Player Development Programme 2023:

Dublin LGFA are inviting applications from suitably experienced, enthusiastic, and qualified people to come volunteer with our Player Development Programmes at U13, U15 and U17 grades in 2023.

The PDP are organised over a 6–8-week time period culminating in a regional blitz.

Therefore, the level time / commitment required is not that of a competitive Inter County squad and will be organised in tandem with our underage club football fixtures schedule.

Individuals are welcome to volunteer to work in roles such as management , coaching, strength and conditioning, statistics, nutrition and sports psychology.

We also require candidates for the key role of female liaison officer.

Applicants must have proven interest, experience in the role they are applying for, a suitable (coaching) qualification in that area, a knowledge of the rules of LGFA and currently hold valid Garda vetting and safeguarding certificates.

Dublin LGFA would especially like to welcome former female Inter County players who are now embarking on their coaching pathways to come on board to share their knowledge and experience to a new generation of players.

To apply please email to Fearghal Brennan, Dublin development officer email - development.dublin@lgfa.ie

Closing date for applications of interest - Friday 7th of October 2022.
