Another Academy year over with over 200 children enjoying the games.

Our Allcare sponsored Skerries Harps academy finished yesterday for the summer break with a Summer BBQ.

After 12 weeks of virtual sessions it was great to be able to get back on the pitch for the last 9 weeks on the Main pitch in Skerries.

We started back on the 1st May and we would like to thank all parents and children for following the various protocols we had in place to ensure the health and safety of all involved.

There were over 200 children registered this term. A big thanks to the panel of over 50 young coaches who have showed great patience and energy with the children each week whilst helping them improve their skills. A big thanks to the various members of the club who assisted each week with the checking of health questionaires , helping in the club shop and ensuring a welcoming and fun environment each week.

And a huge thanks to Louise Byrne for all Ger hard work and dedication.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the BBQ yesterday and ensured all the children were fed after they had worked up an appetite. Without the support of the volunteers it would not be possible to run the academy each week.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again in September for our next term.

We hope everyone has a lovely summer and stays safe.
